Golmaal 3 (transl.  Commotion 3) is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language action comedy moving-picture show directed past Rohit Shetty. A sequel to the 2008 film Golmaal Returns and the third pic in the Golmaal series,[4] the film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Kareena Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and introduces Kunal Khemu and Johnny Lever as additions to this film.

Principal photography for the film began in March 2010 in Mumbai, Goa and Hyderabad.[5] The storyline is partially inspired from Basu Chatterjee's 1978 moving-picture show Khatta Meetha which itself was based on the 1968 film Yours, Mine and Ours.[six] [vii]

Golmaal 3 was released on five November 2010. In 2014, the film was remade in Telugu as Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummada featuring Mohan Babu, Manchu Vishnu, Manchu Manoj, Varun Sandesh, and Raveena Tandon.[viii] The picture received mixed reviews, with praise for its humour and performances, only criticism for its repetitive jokes and narrative.

A sequel, Golmaal Again, was released in 2017, retaining most of the chief cast along with Prakash Raj, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra, and Nana Patekar giving a special advent.

Plot [edit]

The story follows Pritam, an elderly bus driver. His three good-for-nothing sons, Madhav the group leader; Laxman the poetic idiot; and Lucky the innocent mute are ever up to problem, mostly past scamming people. On the other mitt, Geeta is an elderly woman, whose two sons, Laxman the stammerer; and Gopal the strong but kind leader; own a h2o sports stall at the embankment. Gopal and Laxman's partner is Daboo on whom Gopal has a crush, but never shows it.

Iii robbers Pappi, Daga and Teja rob the queen'south necklace and are on the run from the police force and end up in Goa. Pappi, the don, who suffers from short-term retentivity, hides the necklace in Pritam's house. Soon enough, Pritam's sons open a water sports shack opposite Geeta's sons' stall, and a rivalry begins. Filled with mayhem, both the groups effort to take down each other's business organisation but fail hilariously. In response to this, Pritam goes to see Geeta (unaware that they are Geeta's sons) to sort this rivalry out and learns that Geeta is his college sweetheart. Daboo overhears their love story, and decides to go the two married, without their sons' permissions.

Afterwards the wedlock, the two families start living in i business firm, filled with non-stop laughs and mayhem. It is too revealed to the 5 sons that they are not Pritam and Geeta'southward sons simply orphans subsequently overheard by Lucky. The boys vow not to tell the couple that they know that they are orphans and to hide that, they become friendly similar brothers. They as well open up a large store of toys aided by Vasooli Bhai (who is another not-a-don don) and Pappi for money. Pappi eventually remembers where he hid the necklace, and turns himself in forth with his goons Daga and Teja. Later the long squabble, hunt and mayhem, Gopal and Daboo manage to play a trick on Pappi into revealing the location of the subconscious necklace and thus Pritam finds it and gets Pappi and his goons arrested. Pritam and Geeta are going on their honeymoon while Gopal, Madhav, Lucky and the two Laxmans terminate up brawling after an statement.

During the argument, Daboo tries to finish them but they don't. The picture ends with Daboo pulling the director of the film Rohit Shetty and other crew members to finish their statement. The whole cast and crew enter the frame to stop them together, which itself creates chaos.

Reception [edit]

Critical reception [edit]

On the review-aggregation website Mirchiplex.com, the film was scored 2/5 based on 12 reviews.[9] Mayank Shekhar of Hindustan Times rated it 1.5/5 and noted that "the filmmakers have six chief actors to juggle with, and as many side comedians to lend parts to. Never mind the narrative, they would be happy with as any corny antics and dialogues with whoever was available."[10] Raja Sen of Rediff.com gave a similar rating explaining that "[he] was not looking for sensitivity or smarts in Golmaal 3 [but for]... a few practiced jokes. [Yet], the picture show does not oblige."[11] On the other hand, critic Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama rated information technology 4/v, terminal that "Golmaal 3 is an ideal fun ride with thrice the enjoyment and gratification, thrice the magic and thrice the hilarity."[12] The Times of India explained that "[although] the comic acts go repetitive...there is a laugh riot waiting for you at the multiplex this weekend."[13] Vinayak Chakravorty of Mail service Today gave it 3 stars out of 5.

Indian Stammering Association criticism [edit]

The Indian Stammering Clan (TISA), based in Dehradun, started an online petition to the censor board against the comical depiction of stuttering, a disabling disorder that affects millions of children and many adults.[14]

In October 2010 TISA filed a public interest writ petition confronting the director and producers of the motion-picture show Golmaal 3 and the censor board of India at Uttarakhand High Court. It objected to the film's portrayal of stammerers as objects of ridicule, on the grounds that this promoted discrimination and the teasing and bullying of people who falter. The movie-makers and Conscience Board were to respond to the court find by fourteen December 2010. Afterward that, the courtroom was to hear this case.[15] [xvi]
