Thanks so much for this wonderful recipe! I made this for a party of 12. I was in awe of how it turned out-fab presentation!! I felt similar I created a tavern on the green original. One note-practice be very careful and WATCH the internal temp closely!! Remove from oven when it'due south 140 for medium-which was my goal. The temp will go up (for me it went 8 degrees more) while the tenderloin "rests" ten-15min prior to slicing and serving. Information technology came out PERFECT-then juicy and flavorful!! I did put the garlic- in modest chunks from the marinade on pinnacle of the tenderloin prior to putting information technology in the oven. Anybody raved! This is my new fav invitee/dinner political party bill of fare item .....the only downside is the price of beef tenderloin ($13.99/lb) or nosotros'd have this more than often and non but special occasions. The cheese sauce was bully-merely it gets thick once information technology cools....I'd suggest to keep information technology in one of the thermal gravy type servers if you have it avail.

Oh My Stars! I screwed this recipe upwards and came away with a complete winner that has blown us away!!!!! Hubby and I were preparing our Valentines dinner, nosotros had two strip steaks. I didn't read the recipe correctly. I halved the amounts due to only having ii steaks. I did not marinate the meat, we grilled it with salt, pepper and garlic pulverisation. I then put ALL of the ingredients together in a saucepan. The exceptions were that I used FETA cheese and used the garlic out of the jar from the produce section. I used a really skilful Merlot that we had with our dinner. This gave the mixture a pinkish appearance that was PERFECT for Valentines Solar day! I was worried in the beginning, just information technology turned out beautiful (candlelight makes united states all wait better - LOL!) We served this over the steaks, sauteed onions, jumbo cooked shrimp along with a baked potato that I had coated in olive oil and sea salt and then baked at 425 for one hour. We couldn't eat our salads. This needs to be submitted as its own recipe! My husband kept going "mmmmm" during the repast, LOL! *** ii/14/05 Made this over again tonight for my children for Valentines Day. I merely added a splash of Teriyaki sauce and two splashes of Worc. sauce and hubby and I liked it much better. My son went crazy over this! Delish! Thanks :-) ***Updat - Made this for Christmas Eve 2005. I made it exactly to recipe and it was Succulent! Thanks then much for a wonderful recipe!

Delicious! My husband and teen loved it. I made this with a beefiness rump roast since tenderloin is out of our budget. I increased the garlic in the marinade to 4 cloves since we are garlic fanatics, used Merlot for the red vino, and increased the marinating time to about 3-4 hours for a less tender cut. I cooked the rump roast in a shallow pan at 325 for virtually 1/two hour per pound for medium rare. Next time I think I volition try a London Broil, and melt it using the tendeloin method described in this recipe. The sauce is outstanding, a wonderful blend of flavors, and the bluish cheese taste isn't overpowering. We enjoyed the extra sauce on our baked potatoes. Cheers for a keeper.

I chose this recipe considering information technology used a sauce, instead of rolling a layer of blue cheese within of the tenderloin. It was a keen choice. Not merely was the sauce succulent (both on the beef but on baked potatoes), only it gave those who didn't like bluish cheese a way to enjoy the flavorful meat. Fifty-fifty those who claimed to not like blue cheese approved of the smooth-tasting sauce. My only changes were, as others suggested, to increment the garlic to three cloves and to marinate information technology for a longer fourth dimension. Great recipe!

I made this for my father's 60th birthday dinner and got rave reviews. We all beloved beefiness and blueish cheese, then the combination was perfect! I had a 6 lb tenderloin. I baked it without stringing information technology, as I wanted some parts more well washed than the centre, equally nosotros had a pregnant woman and at least one person who liked their meat well done. That worked out perfectly! I served fresh roasted aparagus and roasted garlic mashed potatoes with it.

I am ever looking for new ways to fix beef tenderloiin. The sauce was incredible and I accept besides used information technology on grilled ribeyes. The second time I made the sauce, information technology was a bit salty but that was due to the make of blue cheese. I always serve the sauce on the side. Tremendous season.
eleven/10/2005
I just didn't like this sauce. I love blue cheese but this sauce was not good and I ended up throwing the whole thing out. What a waste material.
09/24/2003
The meat was a piddling more well washed than our family unit likes. Those non-blue cheese lovers thought the sauce was too strong.
04/13/2007
The sauce is divine! I besides used it on my garlic mashed patatos, yum!
12/14/2010
This tenderloin was fabulous. I fabricated the blueish cheese an option - nigh of the guests idea the beef was so juicy and flavorful with the cherry-red vino and teriyaki they chose not to even add the blue cheese (merely it was quite tasty) it. This will definitely exist fabricated again and has now been passed on.
05/20/2007
There are not enough stars here for this recipe. If you similar beefiness cooked to perfection and love blue cheese, well this is for you! Just awesome. Even dressing good on hamburgs adjacent day!
08/28/2009
Really nice sauce! Very smooth and creamy and not too overpowering. Fifty-fifty teenage daughter, who doesn't like blue cheese, loved the sauce. Marinated the tenderloin for several hours so seared on the grill and finished off in the oven. The marinade imparted bully flavor to the meat. Only alteration to the recipe was adding four cloves of garlic to the marinade and chopped chives and fresh cracked pepper to the sauce. Volition brand many more than times, thanks for the recipe!
07/21/2010
Served this for a 60th Birthday Party.......full raves...MANY THANKS!
09/19/2007
This was actually practiced! I live in United mexican states where the beef is not anile. The beef tenderloin has very little season here so I marinated this for 8 hrs and and then sliced information technology in well-nigh three/4 in slices- put it back in the marinade while I put a little olive oil in a pan and heated the pan to 250 (electric skillet) then seared the beef slices for about 2 min on each side- then served it with the blue cheese sauce. The meat was fantastic and very tender with a nifty season even without the sauce. I volition be trying the marinade on other cuts of beefiness also. Muy Bueno! I take made this numerous times and I at present use the leftover marinade by first sauteeing 1# of sliced mushrooms in a little butter until nearly done- then add the marinade-(reserve 1/two c.) and let it come to a eddy- and then add together some flour to a jar with remaining 1/two c. marinade-shake it up and add together to the mushrooms-simmer until thickened. Cascade the mushroom gravy over the cooked filets. Delicioso!
04/11/2010
Made this for Valentine's Day. It was unbelievably good and I can't wait for an alibi to make it again.
03/23/2008
I did not marinate the meat, simply the cooking method is the best way to cook a whole tenderloin that I take tried. Superb!
02/11/2011
fabricated this one last night; didn't detect the worcestershire sauce so just ignored it; added a lilliputian bit of pepper and herbs to the sauce- it was great! it's a def. keeper.
09/16/2009
Absolutely succulent... I prepared information technology exactly as written with the exception of marinating the meat for almost 24 hours (scheduling issue!). Information technology turned out tender and moist.. and the bleu cheese sauce was wonderful!
10/25/2011
I fabricated this for dinner for guests. It was wonderful and very easy. I would make this again!
04/24/2010
I love this dish. Instead of cooking information technology on the broiler pan though, I leave it in the wine/teryaki mix and cook it in a shallow pan. I then use the juices after cooking to make a gravy.
06/20/2007
I fabricated these using filet mignon steaks that I marinated for eight hours and put them on the grill. I topped each steak with the blue cheese sauce and it was wonderful!
09/27/2010
This was outstanding! I made this for a dinner party and it was a huge hit. I did as others suggested and put this in a shallow blistering dish with the sauce. I used roasted garlic teriyaki sauce which worked well. The sauce was very good but we love blue cheese and then we added more to it. Will definitely make this once more.
03/21/2010
I used this for a couple of rib middle steaks. I marinated the meat for virtually six hours. I thought this was very good...the meat came out and so tender and had an excellent flavor. The sauce was missing something...I retrieve next time I volition increment the Worcestershire to 2 teaspoons and run across if that will practice it. Overall a proficient recipe that I will brand again.
05/24/2010
We didn't utilize the blue cheese dressing as we found information technology unnecessary. The beef was cook-in-your-mouth fantastic! I've baked the beef as directed and also grilled it. I've made information technology numerous times now and accept institute that this marinade works great on chicken breasts also. Only alter was I seasoned with fresh ground pepper while marinading. Notation: my tenderloin was non whole, information technology came in 1 inch thick slices from the butcher store. Flip the slices or chicken breasts at least once during marinading. Cheers so much for the recipe! Yummy, yummy, yummy!!!
02/xv/2011
This sauce is fantastic. I had a blue cheese sauce on my beef tenderloin in a chophouse and wanted to endeavour information technology at dwelling house.... I'm hooked
xi/22/2007
Nosotros tried this about a calendar week agone and used Oregon state blue cheese and a fine Oregon Sirah. Wonderful! We substituted Elk back strap, which is much improve for you and tin can cutting down the expense considerably. It will lower your cholesterol, specifiacally the "BAD" stuff(LDL). For those that don't hunt, this recipe is an arterial clogger. I am a physician and lookout that at least 80% of the red meat we ingest is game.
05/xi/2009
I used Beef Medallions that I grilled in place of the tenderloin. I as well used Gorgonzola in place of the Bluish Cheese (because that is what I had on paw) and the entree was delicious! Our guests asked for the recipe. The SAUCE is a KEEPER!
12/05/2010
Easy and delicious beef tenderloin recipe!!!
12/28/2008
This was simply OK for me. I had this a couple of years ago... my sister made it for Christmas Eve dinner. I cooked mine the Same way, but, for some reason, I just wasn't every bit happy with the end effect (hers tasted Way better than mine did). I marinated my 3.v lb. tenderloin (couldn't find a 3 lb. ane - all were between three and 4 lbs.) in a big roasting pan since that's all I had on hand. My sister used a small Pyrex blistering dish to marinate hers. Perhaps this made a deviation? My tenderloin started to fume in the oven (i.e. the the pan juices were burning). Had I used a smaller baking dish, this probably wouldn't have been an issue. My tenderloin was non burned, but it sure gave me a scare (can y'all imagine ruining Christmas Eve dinner??!!?!?)!!! I had to take my roast out of the oven when it was medium-rare. I do not similar whatsoever meat cooked less than medium-well (I actually prefer well done), but all of my guests like theirs RARE (I was outnumbered once again... sigh). I sure got a skillful deal on the tenderloin. If you live in the Chicagoland area, get to Caputo'south Italian Market. They always have good and affordable cuts of meat (I got my tenderloin for $20; my sister paid double this in St. Louis). Served with blue cheese sauce, potato gratin with craven broth, garlic and thyme (by Pam Anderson), steamed asparagus and Ghirardelli individual molten chocolate cakes for dessert. Thanks for sharing!
04/24/2010
This was exquisite! We made this for family and it was out of this world! It was so tender and the sauce was a wonderful blueish cheese taste. Since we didn't accept a broiler pan we put information technology in a goulash dish when it was washed marinating for 4 hours. Nosotros baked it for 7 min then broiled it for 30min and it was perfect! Nosotros as well added some garlic pulverisation to the sauce for just a little boot. I volition definitely make this again!
eleven/08/2009
Family thoroughly enjoyed the repast. The only reason why I don't give it 5 stars, is because the tenderloin was plenty flavourful without the sauce. If y'all are preparing this, definitely serve the sauce on the side as blue cheese is an caused taste anyways. Sauces tin be a quick fix to brand a banal meal tasty, merely if you go to the effort of letting the meat marinade, you lot really don't need the sauce. It's just a prissy accompaniment. Give thanks you for the recipe though, I will indeed make again.
08/xx/2009
Have used this recipe mainly for the sauce many many times. Anybody absolutley loves the sauce. I get requests for information technology all the time. It's also great on grilled asparagus!
02/13/2010
OMG the sauce is then adept my guests literally ate it with a spoon! Wonderful accompanyment to the tenderloin.
03/xviii/2007
Good recipe - I loved it more than my husband. We had to buy tenderloin steaks and hubby but can't completely enjoy them if they're not cooked on the grill. Adjacent time, nosotros won't buy the steaks if we can assist it. Bully recipe!
08/31/2009
The tenderloin was outstanding. I put the blueish cheese topping on the side considering it was a little to much for me. Thank you for the recipe!
12/xiv/2008
The Blue Cheese sauce for this recipe is very potent. A little scrap goes a long way. When we served this, most people avoided the sauce, or if they did have some, they only took a modest amount.
08/29/2006
I bought 2 tenderloin steaks and used 1/ii the marinade. I baked the steaks at 400 for 9 minutes and so baked them for about 1 minute a side. I started the sauce afterwards I took the steaks out to rest. It took nigh 5 minutes. (Basically information technology starts out flossy I just heated it upwardly) This might exist the closest thing to perfect I have e'er tasted :) It does become scary to throw a marinade on a tenderloin steak! Just it was the perfect amount of subtlety.
02/03/2003
Cooked filets out on the grill (did not use marinade( and made just the sauce to use over the steaks! Excellent a real winner thanx!!!!!!!
02/23/2009
Superb!! There are few words to express how delicious this dish is. Information technology is a recipe that I will serve not only on special occasions or to special guests, but to family unit when tenderloin is on sale. I followed this recipe exactly and it could not have turned out meliorate. Thanks so much for a wonderful way to fix Tenderloin.
12/29/2009
The best tenderloin I have ever prepared. The sauce was outstanding and very easy. Reheated well. One son is putting the left over sauce on everything. This is a keeper.
01/07/2003
I cooked this out on the grill, and it was succulent! The sauce is the best blue cheese sauce I've ever had, and it's all so like shooting fish in a barrel!
05/23/2008
I went with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes crumbled over the finished tenderloin instead of blue cheese. I also reduced down (after information technology was brought to a rolling boil) the remaining marinade and spooned it over the beef. Information technology was very well liked by everyone in my family. The marinade itself is very good and am thinking I'll try information technology for chicken some time. Thanks for the recipe!
03/02/2011
I chose this recipe, every bit much as anything, because of the sauce. It turned out delicious, and absolutely restaurant quality. My only complaint was that the sauce came out a bit grey or muddied looking. Tasted fabled though!
06/11/2010
Very delicious! Deserves more than 5 stars! Was a scrap worried the marinade would taste strange with the teriyaki and was afraid of trying a new recipe on such an expensive cut of meat merely it was perfect. Anyone who has said anything bad well-nigh the sauce must not like bluish cheese, because it was also amazing. Followed the recipe exactly except marinated for a few hours. My husband beloved it too. Would be very impressive for company.
eleven/30/2010
I was then excited when I came across this recipe and saw all the cracking reviews, so I decided to give it a endeavour. I went and purchased all the items. Yukon gold potatoes to mash and carrot to steam along with the tenderloin. I followed the recipe completely. I am a huge fan on tenderloin and bleu cheese. I recollect that the teriyaki/wine marinade had a very over whelming flavor one time the roast was washed to medium. The bleu cheese sauce I hoped to relish and salve to utilise for another meal during the week. I institute to sauce to not tickle my gustatory modality buds and the aroma was so over powering that I couldn't accept it sit on my dining room table. I wasn't able to use it. It was a good experience and perhaps a great recipe for people with tastes other than mine.
08/14/2011
Loved it! Wasn't too sure about the blue cheese sauce, but information technology was excellent! A peachy addition to a perfectly seasoned tenderloin.
12/12/2010
This was delicious
eleven/29/2007
Wonderful restaurant-similar recipe! I didn't have beef tenderloin and replaced information technology with an inch thick, well-washed beef sirloin. Blue cheese on superlative of beef makes a great, tasty combination! I added extra bluish cheese for skillful measure; 1 ounce of blue cheese wasn't proficient enough for me! :-) A side dish of sour foam and chive potatoes along with a good bottle of cherry-red wine add great season and ambiance to this keen recipe.
01/04/2004
I'm giving this 3 stars considering of the marinade. 30 min. is Non long enough to impart any flavor. Next time I'd effort marinating about four hours. The flavor of the marinade was virtually nonexistant. The beefiness itself was succulent as was the blue cheese sauce.
06/17/2011
The perfect way to show off a dainty piece of tenderloin. This has become my annual meal for my United nations-Valentines' Day party with all my unmarried friends.
04/xviii/2007
This is one of the all-time things I accept ever eaten!!
05/19/2008
WONDERFUL!!!
02/02/2012
honey the sauce!
03/17/2003
Like a lot of other reviewers, I didn't make the tenderloin, but I made the sauce. Information technology was delicious! I fabricated a London bake using another five-star allrecipes marinade, then sliced the meat thin and arranged it on a bed of mashed potatoes. And so some of the blue cheese sauce! Delicious. I will make this again for company. One thing I would do differently is NOT serve any other light colored sauce-like condiments at the same meal, such as salad dressing. Perchance information technology is the appearance of the sauce or something, but it just seemed incorrect to have merely eaten something else that looked the aforementioned but tasted so unlike. Telephone call me nuts, but that is my suggestion.
01/06/2002
I had a dinner party with 10 and chose this as the main dish. A few people stated beforehand they don't similar bleu cheese so I told them I would just put it on the side. I added a piddling actress garlic to the marinade and let information technology marinate over dark. The following night I cooked, and I received but extraordinary compliments. Fifty-fifty those who had said they didn't like bleu cheese were asking for more than sauce to put on height. I definitely reccomend this recipe.
09/26/2011
Very good, give thanks you!
02/12/2002
Very proficient. Simple and easy to make. The whole family loved information technology.
04/30/2007
This was very expert. I couldn't find a tenderloin, so I used filet mignon steaks. I had to tweek the cooking so as not to over cook them. The bluish cheese sauce is very rich. We loved this dish. I will make this again...for special occasions seeing as how expensive the meat is.
02/ten/2002
I had ii filet mignons in the freezer, so I used them, same marindade, broiled as the recipe said instead of grilling... Took longer in the oven than I guessed for medium rare. I sliced at an angle and served w/sauce drizzled on. Both my husband and I loved it. Served it with a rice dish that had some walnuts in it, a gourmet night, proficient compliment of flavors!
02/12/2010
The beefiness was succulent, the marinade fabulous. That deserves five stars but then the blue cheese sauce was too strong and overpowering destroying the amazing flavors of the meat. I suggest cutting down on the blue cheese, probably in half and adding maybe 4 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce to compliment the blueish cheese. With these changes this might exist a great meal but as of correct now I tin only give it three stars.
12/fifteen/2008
The sauce on this tenderloin was a hit with my dinner guests! The reciped called for ii/3 cup of sour creme; I used a full cup to lessen the intensity of the blue cheese gustatory modality. I would do that again and most certainly use the recipe again!
12/30/2009
I have made this on three different occasions and each time it was a hitting. The first time I made it exactly as written, the last 2 times I added rosemary to the marinade. I also similar to let the meat come to room temp before I put it in the oven.....yummy and a keeper!!!
03/07/2010
This is probably the best tasting beef I have always enjoyed. I wanted to make something special for my married woman's altogether and this was perfect. I bought the best looking (and probably most expensive) beef tenderloin I could find. I marinated it for well-nigh four hours. I personally am non a big fan of bluish cheese just my wife is. I only applied a thin layer of the sauce to mine and she applied a thicker layer to hers. She tells me that this is a lighter and less rich version of the sauce compared to what she has had in restaurants. With a side dish of asparagus and mushrooms and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, it made the perfect birthday dinner for her.
05/13/2009
beloved this sauce, and it's so simple. i'1000 going to brand less side by side time, because there'southward always a scrap likewise much for four people.
01/18/2011
Excellent...everyone liked it and information technology was very like shooting fish in a barrel! I will make it once more!!
02/15/2011
so delicious! i was originally looking for a recipe for venison tenderloin but couldn't observe much. this worked perfectly. the only thing i would modify is i'd probably melt information technology a picayune less time. perhaps 25 minutes. 30-forty minutes made it close to well done and i like my meat a little pinker than that. otherwise A+!
08/16/2006
Wow- such an like shooting fish in a barrel gourmet meal!! I used four tenderloin steaks & cooked them in my TOASTER OVEN!!! (works great) I should have halved the sauce. Accept note- it takes at least 15 minutes for the cheese to melt. (I used Gorgonzola) Likewise- definitely marinate longer- I did for 2 hours & side by side time I will try at least 4. Thanks for the great recipe!
09/04/2007
This is perfec!! Nosotros even used the butter to dip our bread in. Would make again, and again
12/31/2010
This was nifty. Super easy! The sauce is delicious, but completely unnecessary which such a great cut of meat. That wouldn't terminate me from making it again.
11/01/2009
Oh my goodness this was awesome everyone in my house loved information technology!
10/06/2009
Most requested meal for special occasions.
12/13/2009
The bleu cheese sauce for this makes it a five star! It is so simple and then delicious. A beef tenderloin is an like shooting fish in a barrel meal for a dinner party. The sauce makes information technology elegant as well. Nosotros prefer to grill the tenderloin, simply "searing" information technology with high estrus in the oven before slower cooking seals in the tenderness likewise when baking. Then adept my Husband requested the recipe to laissez passer on!
07/01/2009
Fantabulous!!! I couldn't find tenderloin at the grocery store and then I used a roast and it turned out wonderful.
07/11/2005
The marinade was and then succulent, but I but couldn't get into the sauce. I'm a blue cheese fiend, just it was just too bitter and overpowering for me to give information technology any more than stars. Manifestly, judging by the overall score, I'm in the minority with my thoughts! :)
02/15/2002
Cheers, thanks, thank you!! I fabricated this recipe final dark for Valentine'due south Day and it was delicious! Even my boyfriend, who is a chef, said I've outdone myself!! I did add a little garlic & onion powder to the sauce, although it sure didn't demand it!
11/13/2009
This was astonishing! Everyone in the family raved, even my 9 year old son and 11 yr one-time girl. At present that this recipe is a keeper, I volition have to proceed my eyes open for sales on beef tenderloin!
12/23/2004
I admire this recipe! The marinade is astonishing. The 2d time that I fabricated this, I marinaded the meat for about two hours. I also used and injection baster to baste the meat a few times while cooking it. The meat was much juicier the second fourth dimension.
06/15/2003
I fabricated this recipe for a dinner party and it was wonderful. Lot's of reviewers said that they didn't use the marinade recipe (just the blueish cheese sauce), merely the marinade was EXCELLENT. I cooked a 6lb. tenderloin roast from Sam'south Club and doubled the marinade. I allow it sit in the marinade for 3 hours before roasting. It was perfect. I likewise cut the roast in one-half to help ensure more even cooking. Non everyone tried the sauce, but those that did LOVED it.
04/05/2012
Not sure if information technology is fair or non, merely I am simply rating the cheese sauce, which is admittedly delicious! I put it over a baked tater. I can't expect to try it with the tenderloin!
12/09/2011
But followed the recipe for the blue cheese sauce equally for the tenderloin, I like merely a trivial butter, olive oil, salt, and pepper! (I'm a purest with tenderloins! ) The sauce is amazing!!!! the next dark we fabricated sandwiches out of the tenderloin and the sauce was fifty-fifty decent cold or room temperature! Yummy!!!
01/23/2002
I use this on any kind of beef- steak, etc... simple and quick. -lnh
11/26/2006
awesome!!!! used 4 one-half pound filets and baked for twenty min at 400
11/29/2006
Loved it!
02/14/2002
This recipe is superb. Definately a keeper.
eleven/13/2009
This is definitely a "keeper" I needed more than 30 - 40 minutes to become the meat to an internal temperature of 135-140. It was medium rare and absolutely delicious after sitting for nigh xx-25 minutes.
02/16/2010
This was crawly. The only alter I made was instead of ane/two cup of teriyaki I used ane/4 loving cup teriyaki and 1/4 cup soy sauce. Also, I marinated mine overnight, a full 24 hours. I didn't the use the blue cheese sauce on my ain serving simply everybody who did raved!! Thank you for such a smashing recipe..it'due south a keeper for sure!!
12/29/2009
This was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family unit. Nosotros kept the sauce on the side as not everyone liked information technology. I'll be using the leftover beefiness and sauce to brand a dinner salad.
09/thirty/2008
We actually enjoyed this. I used a 3 lb sirloin tip roast because I didn't want to have to go buy a tenderloin. I marinated information technology for about an hour and it worked out great. Very tender. My kids don't care for bluish cheese so I served their pieces without whatever sauce..even without the sauce the meat had a very nice flavor from the marinade so information technology'southward a recipe that you lot can hands serve with the sauce "on the side." Everyone cleaned their plates! Served with baked potatoes (my married man liked the sauce added on his potato, too) corn and warm buttered bread. A keeper.
01/sixteen/2010
I will brand this again for sure. However, I'm not sure if this is DIVINE. It is a bully recipe for one who is not certain how to prepare a tenderloin roast. Also, the melt time varies. You lot have to use a thermometer, and be aware of bodily weight after 'trimming' the loin (if y'all buy the tenderloin not trimmed). Still this is a great staple recipe and will impress.
12/30/2009
I have to admit that I just thought this was boilerplate. The marinade might accept better served a cheaper cut of meat. The sauce thicken quickly after removing from the heat so information technology wasn't really a sauce. The flavors were fine but with the price of tenderloin I expected something that didn't mask the quality of the meat. This wasn't horrible.. I won't try this again. Deplorable!
12/09/2001
Fantastic recipe! I added herbs d'provence and some extra garlic to the marinade and increased the time to ane hr. The bleu cheese sauce is very dainty, and those who don't care for it tin can only leave it off if y'all serve the sauce on the side instead of serving it over the beef. A tasty and elegant political party dish!
07/07/2014
Made this recipe last night and information technology was my commencement endeavour at making beef tenderloin. I followed the directions exactly, although I added a chip of parsley to the cheese sauce. As far as the sauce goes, YUM!!! I'thousand not a huge fan of bluish cheese, only am slowly acquiring a sense of taste for it. This sauce was delicious and not overpowering. As for cooking the tenderloins...mine were a bit thick - perchance two inches - and although I kept pulling them out every v minutes and taking the temp... I overcooked earlier even striking 140. They were medium well :( They were however very tender though, thanks to the cut of meat! I'd say don't put them at 450 for the full fifteen minutes if y'all accept a new, efficient oven! I will definitely exist making this again though and will just accept to tweak the directions equally far as cooking the meat goes and then it suits my oven better! My tip for you is to cut open a tenderloin later almost 20 min at the 375 temp to make sure they are not done already! Served with maple dill carrots, garlic mashed and green beans. Excellent recipe for whole beef tenderloin. I marinated the beef for a few hours in the refrig. The beef was tender and flavorful and the blueish cheese sauce was succulent. I kept the saucepan on the everyman simmer and stirred frequently to melt the cheese and go on it warm.

This was wonderful!!! I cooked information technology for our Valentines dinner and everyone swooned! My ii year erstwhile who is non much of a beef eater ate more her large brothers. I did accept to melt it a bit longer since we don't care for rare meat merely even with a longer roasting fourth dimension information technology was tender and delicious. The sauce is all also fabled, I had to restrain myself from eating information technology with a spoon!
